Introduction to Bitcoins & Pyramining

What are Bitcoins?
Bitcoin is a digital currency, a protocol, and a software that enables

  • Instant peer-to-peer transactions
  • Worldwide payments
  • Low or zero processing fees
 How do you obtain Bitcoins?
First of all, you need a Bitcoin wallet: Blockchain.info is one of the more well-known Bitcoin wallet websites. Just follow the instructions. Remember to store your Bitcoin address/login information in a safe place!

Now that you have a wallet, let's get into filling it up.
  • Buy them: There are a lot of websites exchanging paper currency (money orders), e-currency (digital wallets, wire transfers, bank transfers). There are even face-to-face exchanges/classifieds. In other words, anyway you can pay for a product, you can use that to pay for bitcoins. (websites listed below)
  • "Earn" them: There are plenty of "free" Bitcoin sites. Most are regarded as "faucets" (meaning what it sounds like) - There are also "earn" websites; these usually have you visiting websites, taking surveys, watching videos, or giving feedback. (websites listed below)
  • Mine them: With Bitcoin, miners use special software to solve math problems and are issued a certain number of bitcoins in exchange. This provides a smart way to issue the currency and also creates an incentive for more people to mine. (websites listed below)
Note: Buying/Mining are the only two ways of "viably" accumulating bitcoin wealth. Buying is, of course, the simplest method; near instant gratification. Mining is a wonderful way of supplementing bitcoin income, but it helps greatly if you have a powerful video card in your rig. I'll talk more about the specifics of mining below.

What is it?
It is a Bitcoin Mining Service. Here you can borrow hashing power at very competitive rates. You will profit from the Bitcoin mining activity without having to buy, set up and maintain your equipment. All you have to do is to find a sponsor, join and deposit some Bitcoins to start. Once your account is active, miners will keep working for you until the account will be fully rewarded.

What is it not?
It is not a pyramid scheme: rewards come entirely from Bitcoin mining, not by referral deposits. All deposited funds are used to buy new infrastructure. The referral system is made to allow you to increase your income by inviting new members. It is possible to join and don't invite anybody: bonus will be only 10%, but it's still profit!

You've piqued my interest, tell me more:
